Wounds may significantly impact your quality of life in a number of ways such as reduced mobility, pain, unpleasant odour, sleep disturbances, social isolation and frustration, and inability to perform everyday duties.

Vermont Medical Clinic can provide treatment for acute and chronic wounds.

Our doctors, nurses, consultants and allied health providers incorporate our years of experience and the latest wound healing techniques to create a treatment plan aimed at a positive wound management outcome for our patients.

Process

  • On your first visit there will be a comprehensive assessment conducted with the doctor and nurse to assess the wound and determine the factors that may be affecting wound healing.

  • An individually tailored plan will be created with strategies to promote wound healing

  • Wound products will be recommended and discussed.

  • Ongoing assessments will be conducted as wound care is a dynamic process and changes in treatment will occur to ensure effective management.

  • Education will be provided regarding the healing process, wound healing strategies and nutritional advice to the patient and carers.

  • Wound care plan can be provided for your GP and community nursing services if required.
